  5. You say the Chidhakaashyog symbol is full of energy. Can you explain?

This energy is close to nature. It is the basic energy which activates all of creation, which activates all of us to move, to think, to feel, to be. It is a Power, the same power behind the ancient mantras, mahavakyas, yantras, chakras, mandalas, as well as all the prophets, saints, sages and Masters. It is called in various cultures and religions by different names, but it is One. This Energy, this Power, leads us from the unreal to the real, darkness to light, attachment to love, mortality to immortality, from waking to the highest Aalpha mind state. It is this Universal Energy we are addressing when doing Chidhakaashyog.

  20. How to gauge the time while looking at the symbol? Can I look at a watch or clock to check the time?

NO. Once you set the your hands in the Sun Symbol it is not to be broken until you do the last 5th step of surrender. Once you start gazing at the symbol, you should not look away at anything. You may use a stop watch but be sure it is not disruptive, taking you away from the physical posture or concentration of the practice. A repetitive count-down timer is the best. Set it for eight minutes before commencing the 2nd step, Shakthi Kavach. When it goes off the first time, ignore it. When the alarm rings the second time (16 minutes) that is the end of 3rd step, Drishthi. When it goes off the 3rd time, you may begin doing the 2nd part of Dhyan, the mental visualization of filling your heart with love-light. If you don't have or use a stop watch, make a sankalpa (mental resolve) that you should do the practice according to the prescribed timings - you will be amazed how your consciousness responds by letting you know the appropriate time to stop each step.
